Lou Ann Sabatier, principal
Lou Ann Sabatier, principal of Sabatier Consulting, brings to each assignment more than 25 years of experience in the publishing industry. She has hands-on experience with launches, recruitment, budgeting, advertising sales, financial analysis and circulation development.
Since founding her independent consulting firm in 1996, Lou Ann has worked with nearly 100 media clients, including magazines, newspapers, non-profit associations, Internet and direct marketers, covering both consumer and business markets. An expert business strategist and problem solver, Lou Ann is particularly adept at strategic evaluations and implementing programs that help clients achieve enhanced profitability in tough markets.
A gifted communicator and widely sought after teacher; Lou Ann speaks regularly at national conferences and workshops. She has taught at the Magazine Publishers of America, New York University and Columbia University's publishing program, the Canadian Circulation Management Association, Magazine Association of the Southeast, Florida Magazine Association, and the Professional Parenting Publications Association of America and the Society of National Association Publications. She also is a frequent speaker at Folio's publishing seminars in New York and Chicago.
Early in her career, Lou Ann served as a literary agent, packaging and selling non-fiction works on politics, economics and cultural criticism. She also worked as Managing Director of an international economic magazine and Associate Publisher for a national opinion magazine.
